When they were the Arbor Suites, my husband and I stayed there every year during the same time frame for about 5 years and really enjoyed it. We come down for our family reunion the same time every year. However, when they were bought out things changed.
We enjoyed staying there because my husband had heart trouble, a bad leg, diabetes and I have heart trouble and we could get a nice suite on the ground floor and they were pet friendly, we have a 7 lb peek. This year I called 2 months in advance and was given a confirmed reservation, I call again a week before departure and was again given a confirmation. When we got there. we were informed that they didn't have accomodations for us because the people in the rooms didn't leave. They stated that if they had guest registered to stay a week, they would sometime extend for another week without letting them know about it. If that were the case, they could never confirm a reservation in advance because they wouldn't know when their guest were leaving. My husband is 72 and I am 68 and we drove over 600 miles thinking we had a reservation just to get there and find out we didn't.
We did manage to get a nicer suite at LaQuinta for less money, no pet deposit and a nice free breakfast. I recommend them very highly, but I will never even consider Home Town Suites again.
