The hotel was located close to Union Station and in walking distance to the mall. The service was efficient but not very friendly.

This is a great hotel. The location is good near the metro and the Smithsonian. The hotel is nicely decorated and the staff is friendly.

I chose the hotel due to location. We went with two children and we were visiting some of the various museums within DC. This hotel was within walking distance to them. Also the children eating free was a factor in choosing the hotel. The pool was a welcome change from walking.

It was not very modern. It was clean and that was what was important to me.

Everything was great. The help in the restaurant were fabulous.

I like its location.

It was a nice room and very conveniently located. Had I been paying for the stay, I would have probably gone somewhere less expensive.

It was very convenient to the train station and the MCI Center and the room rates were very reasonable when compared to other hotels nearby.

My bathroom had a used bar of soap in the tub soap area. It made me think the bathroom had not been cleaned. Maybe it had and it probably was cleaned but it made me believe otherwise.

We were never told the restaurant/bar would not be available at the time of our stay.

The hotel had no restaurant and I was not told. There was no room service. They had the wrong reservations. The pool was dirty and there was no pool for kids.

The hotel's location and service were above average.

The hotel has a great view of the US Capitol and is within walking distance of Union Station. The staff was very friendly and concerned that we had a good stay at the hotel.

This hotel made me feel welcome: We arrived prior to check-in time and told that we could leave our baggage with the desk and go sightseeing. When we returned our room was still not ready for us. The front desk apologized and gave a voucher for free drinks at the bar while they promptly got our room ready. We were then personally escorted to our room by a staff member to make sure everything was in satisfactory condition.

We were never told the bar/restaurant would be undergoing renovations and there would be no food/beverages available.

I am very satisfied with Holiday Inns. My wife is a Priority Club member and the rewards of lodging using points is great.

Frankly, Holiday Inns used to be a guarantee of a certain minimum quality. These days the hotels are old and very inconsistent.
