My daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Sept 1-4 and we were there when the hurricane Felix struck. They are not very helpful or accommodating. There was no electricity or food, and they told us the whole island had no electricity, which was not true, they do not understand English at all.
Some of the people at the front desk was very rude and always a line. They need more help!
I had a paid room for 3 nights, but since all the flights were cancelled on Sunday, the day of the storm, we had to try and catch a flight on Monday, so we went to the front desk to see if we didn't get a flight if we could come back to our room, the one that was paid for until Tuesday, and they said no, I would have to pay for another night.
I didn't catch my flight, but I surely would have never came back to the Holiday.
If you want a really nice place to stay, would suggest the Talk of the Town, a great hotel, free breakfast, nice pool, and friendly help there.
Its also free transportation to downtown, and like 5 minutes to the airport.
I spent a lot of money on taxies, so this is a nice hotel.
Not to mention the free internet, and the Holiday charged to use internet and when you buy a calling card there, you have to go to another hotel to use it!
