The Tampa International Airport is just 30 minutes away, and we are within commuting distance of most major Florida attractions. In the 1960's this property was opened as the Clearwater Point Hilton and was owned by Stan Musial. The tower section was added in the 1970's, and the top floor was a popular nightspot for both local and national celebrities. In 1985, Lane Hospitality Management purchased and renovated the hotel. In May of 1995, Lane Hospitality made a decision to undertake a major renovation and convert the hotel into The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort and Conference Center.
