Holiday Inn Suffolk Hotel - Page 1

Here now with my three children. Mold smell as soon as I came in...the bathtub has alot of mildew in each corner. Microwaves or mini-fridges are not standard with rooms, but can be gotten with an upcharge. Unlike the pictures online, our room has a table with one chair and a desk with no chair. I called front desk and was told the pool was open, so my three boys and I went to check it out. It was VERY dirty, with tons of brown and green algae, and had three frogs swimming around in it. I let the front desk know. I had planned on staying the weekend, but I think just tonight is enough. The people up front are very nice, but with no microwave, no fridge and no pool, I would have stayed somewhere else. I won't be back here.

Check in was a breeze, rooms were clean, staff was very nice.

Lounge attendant was no sure of his mixtures, kitchen was closed.

Outside hallways were not cleaned very well, some litter around.

Sign outside says Holiday Hotel instead of Holiday INN , thank goodness we need the address.

Possibly would stay again.

This is an old fashioned courtyard motel with a pool in the courtyard. The room entrances were from the outside and the pool was green. Otherwise, everything was okay.

We stay every year at this Holiday Inn and it's always been very nice. It doesn't matter who is working the front desk, they are always friendly and efficient. We were disappointed this past year because there was a problem with the water in the kitchen and the dining room was closed. The front desk person gave us a list of other options. I thought that was nice.

My one night was not the best because I was there to weather out a hurricane that left the hotel without electricity, water or phone service.
