Holiday Inn Sudbury Hotel - Page 1

My partner came to visit me from the United Kingdom for one week. Knowing that we would be trapped at my parents' home for that time period, we decided that we would spend one night away, just him and I, at a hotel. I initially choose Holiday Inn because my purchase would qualify for Air Miles, which I collect.

Once we arrived, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and were especially interested in my partner and his "foreign accent." The room was spotlessly clean and, noteably, very well air conditioned which was much needed as it was in the middle of June and scorchingly hot outdoors. My only complaint was that there was no complimentary breakfast. While at the same time, I was happy to begin my morning with the complimentary Globe & Mail they provided their guests!

I have been to a few Holiday Inn hotels and I generally have had positive stays considering the low price. Holiday Inn in Sudbury is no different. The hotel cleanliness is on par. The staff were nice and I had no problems when booking/checking in (I did not have a reservation). The hotel room was what I expected for the price. Obviously not luxurious or anything, but for the price, I was happy. The size of the room was big and comfortable for my girlfriend and I. The hotel food was average (for breakfast anyways). I rather eat elsewhere though. Overall, I had a good one night stay for the price. I give this hotel a score of six.

Decided to come back to this Holiday Inn after staying there last time a few years back and once again i did not disappoint.

The staff was just as friendly and courteous as before and the place looked great. They were able to help me find things around town i wanted to go to again as of course i'd forgotten.

The beds were soft and comfertable and the room overall was pleasant. This place kept to my exact expectations of what i remember of it and will keep recommending it for people looking to head up there.

In a week long trip, I made my way from Toronto to Barrie and now Barrie to Sudbury to visit my friends and relatives at their cottages, and to enjoy the wilderness and meet new people. I had a short stay at this inn because of a deep pungent smell in the room during the night in which the staff claimed was nothing and dismissed it as normal. I just wanted a night of comfort, so I asked for another room, however, they tried charging me double for two rooms, so I let it go. I also had to ask for a roll of toilet paper 3 times, but to no avail, and had to go to a local restaurant to use the bathroom. This is by no means a bad inn, they could greatly improve their customer relations for them to improve my rating of them.

This was the hotel we decided upon for our trip to Sudbury last fall. I must say it was a nice little quiet place that was centrally located to where we needed to be for our stay in Sudbury. The people when we talked to them were very nice and always on hand to help if we needed anything.

The beds and the room overall were great, and seeing we came off a camping trip, having a nice hot shower after a few days felt terrific. Once we settled in the beds were nice and confertable and we had a great nights sleep. If we ever head back up to sudbury again this will be a place we definately consider again.
