I liked the very friendly staff, they helped us out when we needed a place to stay because the hotel we originally booked in Detroit was absolutely dirty and our group had cars broken into. I would recommend them to anyone visiting Detroit.

This hotel made me feel important: There's willingness to help us out in a bad situation.

I am very likely to return to the Holiday Inn Southfield.

This was during the ice storm blackout the end of last winter. They tried to charge me twice for the same room though had paid cash on the way out. I discovered my credit card was charged on the next statement used to hold the room. After a tense exchange we got the matter fixed.

I am not likely to return to the Holiday Inn Southfield.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The whole experience was a nightmare from check in to check out. I felt like they didn't care that I was there, and it took 20 minutes to get water warm enough to even get in the shower every morning.
