I recently spent 4 nights in this hotel on business travel. First time in this city, so I have no local comparison. I’m not a very picky type, but here is a list of things I noticed that you may be interested:
No wireless in the rooms anymore, and their system had connection problems even if I wanted to use it in the lobby. There is wired connection, but they were ‘out of cords’. Fan/AC broke down on day 1, needed repair. They fixed it quickly, however. Water leaked at the bathroom sink, WC water container’s top was not matching in size – was smaller – you could see how it works, some towels had a strange smell and touch. They were cleaned, but were strange to me. The other half of them were not like that. The maid apparently watches TV in the room. Both me and a colleague of mine found the TV on in the afternoon, and we did not leave it like that. In the meantime, some things were not refilled that day: coffee, shampoo…They list pool in the list of amenities, but I was told by the desk that they don’t have one. Parking is outside in a neighboring open lot.
I witnessed when the front door could not be locked for a while at night, and the only person at the front desk left for several minutes. I don’t care much, but if you are very concerned about security, it is good to be aware of this. The elevator is key-card operated though. The stairs are not I guess…
Overall: fine, but I’ve seen lot better places for this price as well as for somewhat less.
