Holiday Inn Scranton East Motel - Page 1

I just stayed at the Holiday Inn over Labor Day weekend, and I was very impressed at the hotel. The room overlooked their atrium which you do not see much anymore. Also, I had the best sleep in their beds! The front desk was very personable and friendly. Check in and out were a breeze. Their restaurant was family friendly, and I did enjoy some adult time in the lounge.

I did enjoy the large whirlpool where my boyfriend and I got to relax before we visited my family.

My family stayed here on 19-Apr-08. This has been one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. Here is a list of reasons:

1. Sheets stained some sort of brown substance.

2. Restaurant bathroom disgusting, clogged toilets with feces smeared on seats and toilet itself. Almost vomited when I saw the condition of the restroom (if the restrooms are disgusting I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like.)

3. Hotel room was infested with bed bugs. My 5 year old daughter was eaten alive. We did not notice until after we checked out and were on our way home.

4. Contacted Hotel Manager and said that he could only refund us 30% since we did not notify him until after we checked out. Called Holiday Inn Corporate and are still waiting to get satisfaction.

DO NOT STAY HERE, I will try and post this review on every site I can.

The hotel service is horrible! The front desk didn't know how to order a taxi. When I asked for a taxi, they handed me a phone book.

It looks like they may be remodeling soon, but the room I stayed in was beat-up with peeling wall paper and unkempt bathroom facilities.

Do yourself a service - stay away!

I was double billed for the room and it was a hassle getting it straight.

The bed was huge and comfortable and the pillows were great. I do not think they changed the bedding, they just reused what was there. When we walked in, the room was not cleaned yet and the bed spread laid on the floor and there was a stain on the velour spread on the bed. When they did clean, the bedspread from the floor was put on the bed and that velour blanket with the stain was still on our bed. So we wondered if they even changed the sheets.
