Great Hotel

31 year old female with a budget, traveling for leisure

Had a brilliant stay at The Holiday Inn Hotel. Was staying with a friend for a couple of days to tour Sarajevo and meet up with some friends we had met during a holiday in Croatia..

I had read somewhat harsh reviews, and was a bit anxious on arrival.. The bright yellow colour stood out a mile.. The hotel was the only operational hotel during the war 1992-1995, housing mainly journalists and foreign delegates.. It has been shelled alot during the war, situated on what was once known as Sniper Alley!!

Check in was quick and easy, the foyer area was large and clean, rather like a 4 star hotel in the UK.. The staff werel ovely and friendly, even if they did laugh while I practised my Serbo-Croat!! Our room was lovely, clean, spacious and two comfortable double beds!! Food was nice also, more expensive than sarajevo town but nice all the same...

I am heading back soon for a longer stay.. Cost about £78 a night B&B.
