The room service was great but the room smelt strange.

It's in a prime location. My room key didn't work and it took about twenty minutes to get in at one thirty a.m. It's an older hotel that has been updated. It has easy parking and a very clean, good, restaurant. I recommend it as a utility hotel in a great location for a quality experience.

The buffet breakfast service was too slow, and there was no food in the trays. Twice we had to go to Denny's for breakfast. There were no tables in the dining room two mornings in a row. The manager apologized and gave us discount cards at Denny's, which I thought was a nice idea.

I wished they had more food choices. The deli was pretty poor. I wish I had been given more information about how to get to places in San Diego. We tried to find one restaurant that they had advertised in the welcome book with no luck. It was not within walking distance. The cleaning staff was pretty slow but it was a convention and there were lots of people in the hotel. The pool was pretty small and did not feel tropical despite being in tropical San Diego.

Everything else was great except that housekeeping failed to show up twice. It's a very quiet hotel.
