Friendly staff. Very noisy backs up to I-5 sounthbound. Wonderful view of the freeway on the backside. The ocean was barely visable over the rooftops of buildings across the street and we had a third floor unit with a balcony which was as good as it gets there. The room had some kind of an overwhelmingly sweet scent as we came in, disinfectant? The dust ruffle on the bed was filthy with greasy black streaks on it. The bathroom mirror had a large greasy hand print on it that I looked at everytime I used the toilet. We threw away an old hamburger wrapper that was sticking out from under the tiny sofa. The TV had no guide for the channels so find something to watch in the late evenings was a problem. The place was mostly empty when we were there and now I see why. Look around for MUCH better accomidations for nearly $200.00 a night.

There was a terrible smell of smoke in our room. The staff tried to help, but the smell was bad. My only complaint is that there is not enough smoke-free rooms.

Their restaurant was terrible, once was enough. I have special needs because I am on oxygen and do not walk well, I need a room near the elevator. At first they gave me a handicapped room which was 5 miles down the hall with 1 king bed and a rollaway. Most handicapped people are not in wheelchairs and do not sleep with their caregivers, so two queen beds is more appropriate. Why should the caregiver sleep on a sofa? Don't they give up enough? Many are limited as to walking and need to be close to an elevator, not a hiking distance away. I did not need a wheelchair shower, just closeness and 2 beds!

It's a great place to stay. It was very cozy and comfortable, nice staff, beautiful location with lots of opportunities from shopping to sight-seeing, whale watching, museums and so on. The place is definitely worth the price.
