The hotel is very nice for a Holiday Inn hotel. The bar was just like a bar that would be off property, not just a lounge. I was pleased with the very friendly staff.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The quiet rooms and the good atmosphere made me feel comfortable.

I am very likely to return to the Holiday Inn Salina.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel allowed me to check in early but had me in a smoking room and I am a non-smoker. I would have had to wait for a non-smoking room.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Holiday Inn Salina.
I might recommend it to friends.

As a Floridian resident who usually spends the night in 2 and 3-star sorts of motels in the Disney area, this motel ranks very high for me.

We arrived many hours passed check-in time and the staff was courteous taking my paranoid phone calls making sure they didn't give my rooms away. We were welcomed by Steve when we came in and he made small-talk with us, instead of rushing us out of his sight.

Our rooms had clean carpets, new furniture and was pretty much immaculate everywhere. It didn't possess the musty smell of guests past. The room was a little larger than most standard motel rooms. Towels, soaps and shampoos (Pantene, not Jhermack, for the record) were replenished everyday. Requests for more towels were taken care of.

Important: Do not choose a room near the Holidome if you're looking for quiet evenings and peacefully silent mornings. However, if you like a lively atmosphere and don't mind the sounds of life, reserve away! Our children loved being able to play just beneath our room at the pool table, ping pong tables and air hockey table. They enjoyed running rampant in the open area of the Holidome, partaking in their own noise-making, then chatting in the festively decorated lounge area (just tables for meetings or a snack) on the second floor.

Important too: Verify that the waterslide is working and that there are no water shortages preventing its use before you go, if this is important to you. It was off for four of our five days there. We enjoyed the pool, spa, and sauna, though.

The laundry facilities are mediocre, but present. They have one washer, and one dryer, 75 cents apiece. The dryer takes a while to dry ($1.50 worth), guests aren't always on top of their laundry. Make a note to find laundry facilities elsewhere. I had a great customer service experience with both Mario and Josh with regard to my own laundry conundrum.

The door locks work so well, even you can't open them. A front desk will happily replace your key card though.

The people who work there really make the difference. Normally, I would have been upset by the pool and the fact that the website at the time showed a refrigerator in the room that didn't exist in our rooms, but their helpfulness and generosity really calmed my normally hot Floridian temper.

I am very likely to return to the Holiday Inn Salina.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I have stayed at this Holiday Inn several times before and have always been satisfied with the facility. The only problem I encountered was that the room was hot when I arrived and it took quite a while to cool it down. My stay was in June, which in Kansas equals really hot and to compound the problem, my room was on the top floor. I ordered room service for breakfast and I mentioned the problem to the person who brought my room service tray. He listened to my complaint and said that their policy was to have the thermostat adjusted so that the room was comfortable. He apologized and said that he would relay my complaint to the management. This employee's attitude receives very high marks with me. Even though I was uncomfortable during the first part of my stay, I felt valued as a customer before I left. I will not hesitate to stay at this Holiday Inn the next time I make a trip to Salina.

This hotel made me feel pampered: I usually do not use room service, but I made an exception this time. I forgot what time I had ordered it, but when it arrived the food was better than I expected.

I am very likely to return to the Holiday Inn Salina.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The first rate I was quoted was $94. As I walked away the price came down as far as $69. I was charged $75/night on my bill and when I asked for the $69 I was told I was lucky to get $75. From 7 AM to 10 PM the noise from the pool area was very excessive. The shower did not function properly and the television had a loud humming noise.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Holiday Inn Salina.

I have stayed at this Holiday Inn before, so everything was as expected with one exception. Keeping in mind that this is Kansas in the first part of summer, it's hot, the outside temperature was in the mid '9s. When I got to my room the air conditioner was not on and the room was very hot. In fact, all of the public areas of the motel seemed very warm to me. I did let one of the staff members know about the air conditioner not being on. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay.

I am very likely to return to the Holiday Inn Salina.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

When I went to Holiday Inn in Salina, the hotel was under renovation. Even though some of the hotel was being remodeled, I still felt comfortable and very luxurious. Also, I enjoyed their pool with the water slide, as well as the exercise equipment.
