Holiday Inn Rolling Meadows Hotel - Page 1

I was at this hotel for a business meeting and the service was amazing! Everyone of the staff was willing to go above and beyond what needed to be done and made the visit very welcoming. We will return.

Upon entering the hotel I was impressed with the Holidome area. It had a nice ambiance but was VERY noisey. I wondered when the noise would stop and sure enough at 11pm security came through and shooed everyone out of the area (including registered, paying guests). This wasn't a problem until the following morning. My brother woke up in the middle of the night and walked outside of our room to find someone curled up in a ball sleeping on the chairs on our front patio. The security obviously used up their energy on the registered guests which made it impossible to remove this "squatter" from our patio. My brother didn't notify the desk staff immediately but I called the next morning and they seemed very apologetic. It wasn't until a couple hours later that they called back, at which time we were gone from our room for a wedding. Someone left a message saying they would like to speak with us further about the incident and do something for us for our trouble. She indicated that she was leaving at 3pm but would leave a note for her manager. When we went to speak with them (after 3) their "something for our troubles" was that they would replace the chairs. That should have been a given! We were later offered half off of ONE nights stay.

In addition to this major problem there was black mold on the ceiling in our bathroom, the bathroom door would stick everytime, the room door took 10-15 trys to open. There were also problems with the catering and food department. All cloth napkins that I received were either horribly stained or had crusty residue on it. There was absolutely NO attention to detail paid. Several other people staying there had no problems but everytime My brother and I turned around there was something new!

I guess it's a craps shoot with this hotel...

I was little disappointed in the Holidome. It was just a regular pool, with no children pool, no slides or water games or anything special.

The hotel is in a great location and it has very nice amenities. The bar and the restaurant are convenient and the holidome provides many great entertainment options. It is close to both the highway and nearby businesses. The staff was friendly and courteous. It was a great place to stay!

It was in a good location and had easy access.
