One of the goals established during a trip to the USA with my family in July 2009, was Washington DC. As you approach the city, decided to stay for two days of staying in Arlington and more specifically to the 'HOLIDAY INN "Rosslyn at Key Bridge - 1900 North Fort Myer Drive - Arlington - VA 22209, where we arrived in the early evening. Very positive reception, the reception staff at our request, told us that there was room availability for two nights. Ask the price and at the same time we did this we had the coupon discount (other than in newspaper advertisements that are in the highway rest area) after a few puzzled glances between the two employees of the reception, there was applied the discounted price (of rest could not do otherwise, than the advertising insert them). Happy with the organizational system with the two-day visit to Washington. The next morning asking for information, the staff at the reception tells us that the room was not available for the following night and unfortunately had to leave the hotel. Alternatively there was the possibility of changing to another room, but definitely much higher cost. All this might not seem to be true, we never had such problems in hotels, points out that this was the second trip to the USA last about a month each. We did notice that it was very wrong and asked to speak with a manager. Our request was rejected and we were answered with unintelligible English, because they speak very narrow. At this point at least ask if you could leave your car in the garage, so you spend the day as scheduled in the evening and then find another hotel. Request rejected too. Not knowing what to do (being in a foreign country we did not want to further ruin the vacation), we took the bags from the room and the car from the garage and went away (after paying the night clearly enjoyed). Result: day ruined, uneasy to find another hotel, higher expenditures and all that can lead to a situation like this. In return I have sent complaints to the hotel, which did not even deign to respond and the headquarters of the 'Holiday Inn (IHG Guest Relations for), instead I responded with the usual phrases of circumstance "we're sorry, verify, Always be attentive to the customer, etc.).. I should point out that the same situation occurred with another family who went with us. It's not fair conduct of this kind. I thought, indeed we thought, most likely the discount coupon has influenced a lot about this situation. Okay, patience, not everyone will like this hotel, but certainly not set foot there.
