35 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Not in our room more than a few minutes before a maintenance person opens our room door without knocking. Apparently another guest directly across the hall from our room wanted our room since he was repairing something in hers and he was about to move her into our room. The other guest never contacted the front desk to be moved into another room and the maintenance person didn't check with the front desk for any direction. The front desk shrugged it off, it was "just a miscommunication". Never mind that my husband was changing and we were both badly startled. We kept housekeeping out of our room our entire stay, our trust abused. When we checked out, we found that someone had taken the do not disturb sign out of our lock, yet it was there the night before--pretty sure it was that "lady" across the hall who had to take another room without a view. Also, be sure to print out any proof of package deals you receive when you make your reservations, or you won't get everything you paid for--front desk staff were very hesitant to give us all the ammenities we paid for. And their restaurant staff will get your breakfast order wrong, and then argue with you about it. Apparently they can't read the meal orders that they take and write down. This was supposed to be the best hotel in Palmdale. Not only reflects very badly on the Holiday Inn, but also on Palmdale. Needless to say, we will not return to Palmdale, or EVER stay at another Holiday Inn. Wish we could have left, but EXPEDIA doesn't give refunds, and we are trying like the rest of America to live within a budget. What a wonderful policy.

The staff was very friendly.The beds need replacing and the breakfast buffet needs help. This is a nice hotel, the breakfast buffet wasn't that great, but the Chicken Alfredo at Dinner was the best! And free WiFi is always a plus.
