Near to all the main attractions, this is an ideal place from which to see the sights. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped with mini kitchinettes. There's a nice outdoor pool with a waterfall, which is great for children, and there's a tiki hut next to the pool where you can get drinks and snacks. There's also a volleyball court, playground and games room. For breakfast, there's a wide choice of food available in the buffet, and there's also a cafe and Convenience Courts for coffees, pizza and snacks for lunch, or grilled steaks and seafood for dinner. Although there are hundreds of restaurants on the doorstep if you prefer more choice. All the shops are very close by too, so it's a very convenient place to stay. There are also beauty treatments available. The staff here are really friendly and will help you out with anything you need. There's also a free shuttle bus to the main parks.

The hallway to our room smelt very musty, surprisingly our room did not. There was not a lot of draw space to put your clothes away (just 2 small drawers under the TV)
Our bath tub would not drain. They fixed the drain problem the very next day. On the second to last night we saw a cockroach in the sink, we called down to the desk to let them know this, and they kindly offered to move us to another room. Of course, if one room has them, they all do. They gave us vouchers for a free breakfast.
The hotel is in a very busy area, it is very close to Universal. One night we were directed out a different exit of the park, and on that night it was not easy to get back to the hotel.
We ended up near the convention center in a ton of traffic, it took forever to find our way back to the hotel.
It was nice to have a microwave oven and refrigerator in our room, and the pool was nice. It is what it is, an older hotel that could use some updating. We would not choose to stay here again.

It is a family friendly resort, close to all the Orlando attractions at a reasonable price. It has a free breakfast buffet and fair priced lunch and dinner buffets which for a family of six is always a plus, being less expensive than eating in the parks. They have nice pool areas which are kid friendly for a relaxing day at the hotel.

to return to the Holiday Inn Orlando-Intl Drive Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I came to Florida from Texas, and I was just overwhelmed by how friendly and helpful the entire staff was. I thought we had it good in Texas, but this was just too much. The pool was huge and my family only wanted to stay at the hotel and swim.
It's really close to Universal and it has International Drive right in front of the hotel which has everything you can think of right there. I even felt safe and secure which is something most hotels can't do! They only have card access to the rooms in their tower, so I know that just the everyday plain ‘ol person walking down the street can't get to my room. My kids had a great time and the food was great. I wish I could take it home with me!

The whole place is green, literally. The floor of the atrium is nice and forms a courtyard. Beware if you have kids or gangly teens. The walkways are kind of narrow and the bars are low.
