The hotel staff has very bad attitude. The first room they gave us was smelling like bathroom. and when I told them, they immediately changed it but with no sorry or surprise. that means they know that it smells like that and still they gave it to the customers. I hated the second room too. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone or I would go to this hotel.

Not a good experience. Disliked the hotel. Had to change rooms twice before finally settling in the third. Rooms were dingy and musty smelling. One particular room was noisy (humming sound)- apparantely located near a utility room. The experience

pros: less than zeroWe arrived Thursday at midnight after an 8 hour flight from London. You are required to take a train to a remote location away from the airport where all shuttle busses pick up arriving passengers. It was a cold, rainy night. We...
We stayed on night, arrived late and were warmly welcomed. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The room was small. The breakfast was better than expected and the dining area was kept spotless. We'd go back again. I think the hotel was muc

(Summer, 2007)
The worst two nights in a hotel we've ever experienced. There was hair all over the bathroom (not ours). We reported it to the front desk and asked that they would clean it the next day (we were very tired). The next day, I haggled with the cleaning lady to clean the bathroom and carpet. The best answer I could get was "If I have time, baby." About an hour later, my wife started swelling on her leg and neck. She had six bedbug bites from the night before. We requested a different room and it had hair in the bathroom and what looked like a little blood on the toilet. They must use the same cleaning rag to clean everything, leaving a trail of hair from all the previous rooms. We requested a third room. It was clean. That night, a riot broke out in the parking lot. There were about 50 people from the neighborhood that had come to the hotel to cause trouble. There was pushing and punching and a lot of screaming. Others were using their cars to intimidate people in the parking lot. We were on the 7th floor and there was no way I could sleep. Seven police vehicles and a paddy wagon showed up, but they did not disperse the riot. They waited by the front doors until the riot calmed down and then moved them out of the parking lot. We checked out an hour after the riot (4am) There was a family of 4 in the lobby with confirmed reservations but the hotel was booked up. They asked for our room, which only had one bed. I wrote a complaint to the manager. The manager neither refunded my money nor called me. This hotel charges around $200 per night. The bell hops were rude about us asking if our luggage had arrived from the airport. One of our rooms was facing a very noisy highway. The roof was leaking in the restaurant. Because of our experience, we will avoid New York at all costs. We will never patronize Holiday Inn again. You are MUCH BETTER OFF to use your money for a taxi to a different hotel, or just stay in the airport and fly first class.

Stayed awhile - check-in is slow, rooms are not clean, furniture is stained and windows cracked, heat/AC does not work in all rooms, but staff are mostly friendly, restaurant and bar are nice but expensive, internet works, and very close to airport.
