Holiday Inn and National Conference Center Hotel - Page 1

We checked into this hotel and were greeted by a very unfriendly night clerk. We were given three dirty rooms, one even had someone in it still. The heat didn’t work unless you stood by the thermostat. I complained the next morning to the general manager, and was jus told “Sorry for the inconvenience”. Since we paid $127, I expected a little more than that. They have a very unfriendly staff, the restaurant lacks in variety, their prices are steep, especially since there are other restaurants in the area. I would stay away from this location.

Since Holiday Inn took over this old Ramada the rooms are better, they have new furnishings. But the service is still a bit lacking. I have stayed many times and not once have I had the in-room coffee fully stocked. When I called to have the missing item (cups, coffee, whatever) sent up, twice it never arrived.

The bathrooms could be cleaner. Often there is hair, or worse, unidentifiable "stuff" on surfaces. But the beds are clean and comfortable.

It is a very basic hotel and I think it is a bit pricey for a budget style hotel. It should be in the $79- $89 range considering how it compares.

I requested a king size bed in a room that allowed smoking. I got a double, non-smoking room. The front desk was understaffed, and the employees were not friendly or knowledgeable. The wait time was incredible!

It was an average hotel. There was nothing spectacular, but nothing horrendous either.

I was satisfied with the service, but they should have more options for the continental breakfast: less carbs, more fruit and more variety of yogurt.
