Holiday Inn and Marina Resort - Page 1

The hotel has been upgraded with new paint both inside and out. I found this to be the best bargain in Marathon Key. They are in the process of rebuilding the dock, boatramp and marine services. I stay here twice a year for fishing and I always bring a boat with me. It should be nice when finished. I last stayed in Oct. 07 and the hotel was fine but the dock project had not started as of this date.

It is a great location if you are departing on a ship the following day. There are plenty of wonderful shops and entertainment to enjoy and also a nice view of bouts and ships. Our room was not all ready when we arrived but we did have a sizable group with a reservation. I used the gym facility towel instead of my own and I did not feel good they did not have water in the cooler. Medicine was improperly stored.

We only stayed here because we were on a last minute detour from a business trip and this was what was available. It is not impressive by any means.

The rooms really need to be refurbished and the mini-fridge didn't work. There was a little live band music going on out back, which was something different and nice, but this place is still solidly 2 stars.

The location was not very scenic. The best part was the restaurant.

I had an easy check in. The staff was friendly. I liked the very clean room and the very clean bathroom. The air conditioning unit worked great and it was already running before check in. I liked the very comfortable beds and the small coffee machine in the unit. The hotel had a central Florida Keys location for trips in all directions. All in all, it was great, we will use this hotel again on future trips. I wish the sign would be lit up at nights to make it easier to find when coming back to the hotel late at night.
