The hotel has a convenient location to Universal. It is adjacent to a TGI Friday's restaurant. I received an excellent rate.

I have stayed at this hotel four to five times in the last year. The front desk people were nice at check in and check out. My room was always clean. The property was maintained well and safe. The TGI'S Fridays was always fast with the food service and able to handle large groups.

I am very likely to return to the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Universal.

Location wise, it's very good. It you prefer more peace, then this is right for you since it's not located at the crowded International Drive. Universal Studio's right across within walking distance. Free wireless access is available in the guest rooms. Nice pool if you're with your family and kids. Beds and bathroom are top notch. Check-in was a pain. Had to wait for more than 30 mins to get my room. Only one of the 2 elevators was working during my stay, so had to wait a long time for elevators. Apart from that, everything's good. There are restaurants and a Walgreens within walking distance (10 minutes). There's a TGI Friday's in the hotel. Denny's is just 5 minutes walk away.

I am very likely to return to the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Universal.

Parking was a nightmare, between the Friday's restaurant and the banquet room and the remodeling, there was no guest parking. It took over 20 minutes to find a parking spot.

We weren't too impressed with the front desk staff who turned a cold shoulder on a group of teens checking in -- the girls' father had booked for the wrong day. The staff was totally unwilling to assist these young people with their crisis. That was not very reassuring, had it been our reservation that had been messed up.
