Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites

At check in the front desk was very courteous and were willing to help. They offered to help with our bags and offered us breakfast because we had been assigned a smoking room, even though they were able to change it for us.

The room was clean and had a wonderful courtyard view. The kids loved the pool and the food in the restaurant was well above our expectations.

The hotel gladly provided transportation to the local mall and while out with the kids; my husband enjoyed the free Hi-Speed internet in the room.

We will definitely be back and stay at other Holiday Inns hoping for the same service.

The staff was efficient; the room was clean with a nice view. The food in the restaurant was very good. They were kind enough to provide a van for me to get to the office. Would likely stay again next time I'm in town.

It was a very nice stay on the beach in a new hotel.

This hotel made me feel excited: They had a good location on the beach and a beautiful new pool on the deck overlooking the beach.

It was initially off-putting, with renovations going on, pressure-washing at the front entrance going on after 6:00 pm, and a nearly-deserted parking lot, but it was better than I expected.

The picture of the room on the hotel's website is what it will look like after the renovations, my room was pretty standard-looking, but extremely clean and the bathroom was huge. I will say that the room, which was supposed to be non-smoking, had that kind of "someone has smoked in here in the past" smell to it that cannot quite be overcome by spritzing the air with room freshener.

However, I am more sensitive to that sort of thing than most, and the bed was so comfortable, I overslept. The food in the dining room was surprisingly good, with the chef taking great pains to make everything look as nice as it tasted. The wait staff was also very attentive.

It's close to shopping and dining by car, but nothing is really walkable, given that the hotel is right on busy University Drive.

The location was too remote, the entrance was in the rear of the building, the restaurant was too expensive, the room was too far from the elevator and there were room service food trays left in the hallway, all day long!
