Holiday Inn Hays Motel - Page 1

Ok, So we went to The Holliday In in Hays, Kansas.... It was horrible from the get go, right when we got there my Aunt had problems checking in... She accidently reserved the room for the wrong date, so she had to pay for the room on the date that she didn't show up, and then get aother room and pay for that one too. The bad part is that she told them she wanted in the wedding block and they had the dates for the wedding block in their computer so they should have known the date she said was wrong!!! Anyway... The WORST part of the stay was the fact that our $85.00 room was DISGUSTING!!!! There was some kind of dried up liquid all over the walls, mold on our towel rack in the bathroom (the towels were hung over it), some kind of residue all over the ceiling, the bathroom floor was constantly wet even after drying it about 6 times, Their were cobb webs in the corners, wall paper peeling off in the bathroom... and thats not it... the employees were RUDE!!!! We got there just in time to throw our stuff down and go to the wedding, so when we complained about it the next day, they insisted they couldnt do anything but give us a 10% discount!!! I have stayed at Holliday Inn's before but NONE of them have ever been so horrible!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! I HAVE PICTURES! IF YOU WANT THEM ASK!!! raelaunismom@hotmail.com

The room was dirty - so dirty that they missed an iPod on the floor. The hotel was noisy due to the rooms being located around an open gathering space. The staff in the restaurant/bar were completely overwhelmed, though they did remain friendly, which was amazing. Check in took a long time and there were problems with the way our set of rooms was charged. This experience was in October 2007.

It was a standard Holiday Inn hotel with nice people.

The location of this hotel is great, the cleanliness was miserable. I got to my room a little after ten p.m. ready for bed and undid it, there were black hairs covering the sheets. It looked like someone had their dog in the bed and they never changed the bedding. I did complain to the manager and he gave me a full refund, very good management. Also, two out of the four lights in the room did not work, therefore it was pretty dark in the room.

It was nice, especially after driving all the way from Tennessee. The people at the front desk were really helpful, especially with dinner recommendations. They even had a sense of humor. We requested a room away from the courtyard area because last time we stayed there, it was really loud. She put us in the farthest corner of the hotel on the third floor. Of course, we requested to be closer to the middle and she gladly acquiesced.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They were friendly and glad to help in any way they could.
