Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel

Stayed here in March of 2007 on a Priceline package, and was very pleased.

Location is excellent. Neighborhood just a tad seedy south of here, but area near hotel was fine. Access to buses (47), trolleybuses (1, 49), and California Cable Car were big pluses.

We checked in around 1am, and got a prompt welcoming check in. Front desk was very accomodating, and the room was quite good for the price.

We never ate in the Hotel Restaurant, as the menu was a bit pricey, nor did we hit the pool, as we were out when the temps were at their warmest, but for what we needed, a good place to sleep, shave, sh**, and shower, it was a great find.

It was a very nice location. The employees very friendly. Parking was expensive.

Rooms are marginally acceptable. Biggest problem is they add misc charges you did not incur to your bill. Happened to over 30 people in the group we were in.

It was very convenient to bus and trolley lines. It was one block from a Whole Foods place and next door to a Starbucks cafe. It had nice rooms, good views and an excellent hotel staff. I liked the nice gym.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The quiet and secure lobby, the even quieter rooms made me feel relaxed.

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn hotel.
