Mediocre
40 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

Although the Holiday Inn website will boast room service and a restaurant, be advised that this is not entirely true. They serve breakfast, which anyone who has stayed in a hotel in Europe knows is very light, and doesn't require much in the way of cooking. The 'room service' claim is because you can fill out a card and hang it on your doorknob to indicate your breakfast choices. There is a bar, but I never saw anyone at it, as it was put in a small corner as an afterthought. You can park your car in their garage, but ONLY if 6 others haven't checked in before you. That's right. Only 6 parking slots for the entire hotel! If you've been to Paris before, you know the deal on parking limitations. If you have 3 people, you won't have much room to do much of anything in your room, as the 2 main beds, and the roll away take up 90% of usable living space. The mini-bar is an overstatement. The fridge was filthy inside, like a soda had exploded and cleaned up in a hurry.. The soap dish affixed to the shower wall was hanging on only by its own weight, the shower curtain was a bit moldy at the bottom. Some of the staff members were less than sympathetic to our concerns...about anything...but a few were on the ball and could help us with other issues. You can stay at similar hotels for cheaper, and better hotels that are comparably priced, and if I ever go back to Paris, it'll be at one of them. There is another Holiday Inn...much larger, and further from the inner city and sights, but it may be a better option. Stay at the Hotel Ibis, it's a lot cheaper, has parking, and can't be much worse in food service.
