31 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I arrived an hour early and was told I would have to wait an hour before I could get to my room because housekeeping was not finished. I asked if I could keep my luggage somewhere while I went to eat (there are a few chain restaurants in the area) and the young man said it wouldn't be a problem. I got my key and left my luggage. I came back about 1.5 hrs later and asked for my luggage; there was a heinously unkept girl was behind the counter that said, and I quote, "We don't got any luggage back here." That was it. I told her about the young man that kept it for me and she repeated herself. After going back and forth for 10 minutes she called the manager who said that it was brought to my room. Upon getting upstairs I was impressed with the quality of the room - a huge, flatscreened tv and a big bed, gorgeous sink area - but when I went to use the bathroom I could barely shut the door and the light was out! I called to the desk and explained my problem and the girl said, "You can come get a light bulb but housekeeping is gone for the night." I was expected to be an electrician when paying $139 for a room?! I went to breakfast and the attendant was great and while downstairs I asked for a late checkout. The man told me it wasn't a problem but when I got out of the shower my door opened and in walked the housekeepers!
Needless to say I will not be staying here again. There needs to be a bit more professionalism instilled before they expect repeat clientelle.
