Terrible. So not worth the money.. Well, the front desk staff was very rude and couldn't even fulfill a basic request such as calling our room to let us know when our pizza arrived, even when we called to let them know that we had ordered one. When the delivery guy came he was told that nobody with our name was staying there and we know that the delivery guy talked to the same guy we talked to b/c he was the only man working the front desk. We gathered all this from the pizza place. When we asked the lady working the front desk about this we treated rudely and with a "sorry about your luck!" attitude. We got a room with a jacuzzi and the tub was 5 feet from the bed with no partiton or privacy or anything. I watched the bedroom television while sitting in the tub. The lady working the breakfast talked with a friend who didn't work there, or was at least not on duty, who insisted on chewing his gum so loudly that all the other hotel guests in the room were looking at each other with the same disgusted expression. The only nice person we encountered was upon check out when she gave us $10 off the bill, which was nice but much too little too late. I would not recomment this hotel and I will never stay at a Choice Hotel again if at all possible.

Horrible
Awful. Old old old, they are trying to renovate, but that seems to consist of just painting over the filth. The bathroom was dirty, hair on the towels and floor, mildew on the tile. I would NEVER stay here again. AWFUL.

The stay was pleasant. The desk clerks were very helpful. The hotel had a good continental breakfast. I would stay there again. I would like to stay longer in Richmond next time.
The desk clerk gave us a map of the downtown area and recommended places for a late night snack.

Mediocre
Parking $7/day, although advertised as free. 2 elevators in 6 story building + 2 levels of parking, only 1 elevator working the first 3 days, both broken the day I checked out. No help to carry my bags down six flights of stairs, and no concern,...

Good
This hotel was very affordable-nice hotel for the $'s. We needed a hotel when we attended the 0506 Richmond race. It was very convenient to the track shuttle which was great. The rooms were clean/ spacious. I only went by what I saw on the ratings...

The building was handicapped accessible, but the management and staff were not willing to enforce basic ADA compliance items among their guests. The manager even told me he himself parks in handicapped spots in garage. There were huge problems with their customer service. Its located in an unsafe part of town. The nicest folks there were the cleaning staff.
