Excellent
We arrived around 8:30PM, and checked out at 9:00AM the next day - brief stay. We had free covered, but unsecured parking, 2 queen beds, clean room, coffee in room, great included breakfast. Had access to TV and free internet. I'd stay there...

Location: I wanted to be close to San Francisco. This Hampton Inn billed itself as "San Francisco/Redwood City." Not being familiar with the area, I did not realize Redwood City is about 45 minutes from downtown SF. In fact, it is closer to San Jose! Yes, I should have looked at a map, but the hotel should not sell itself as San Francisco when they are quite a distance away.
Also, the hotel seems to have been wedged into a residential neighbor hood with a crowbar. I looked out my window and looked into someone's private home. There are several restaurants within walking distance, but most are fast food. A German restaurant across the street looked nice, but I did not go there.
Service: I only saw one person working the front desk. If he or she was busy, or not available, there was no one else to assist me. The "business center" was a computer next to the front door.
Comfort: the rooms were well kept, typical of a Hampton Inn.
Overall, the hotel seemed too big for the space they provided. The lobby was smaller than my room, the breakfast area seemed to be carved out of another room and parking was under the building. While my stay was OK, it was under my expectations of a Hampton Inn.

I was very impressed with the hotel in general, but I was most impressed by the courtesy and service given by the staff. They went out of their to make my stay an enjoyable one, and I will stay with them again!
