Staff was friendly enough, we didn't have any problems with check-in or our rooms, we didn't have any problems except for the walk to the subway which really wasn't too bad unless you were in a hurry for some reason. Our room was on the back on the hotel so noise was not an issue except for the refrigerator which we had to unplug every night. Breakfast was perfect. We would book here again but hope to be able to afford to get a hotel with a closer subway stop.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Holiday Inn Express Queens/Midtown Tunnel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Physical premises were nice but staff was not and the queen non smoking room that we reserved and paid for in advance never happened. We had a double smoking and an even smaller non smoking the next night after complaining.

Nice, clean, and friendly staff..... We loved the location in proximity to the subway and the cleanliness and the shower was great! They have updated in the last year and I would definitely stay again.

I was in NYC for a week to search for apartments and to get a feel for the city again and I have to honestly say that my experience here was wonderful. The staff was pleasant, the interior of the hotel was contemporary and the rate was great for being close to Manhattan.
Its only a 10 minute walk to the 43rd subway stop, and I did not feel unsafe in the area once. Yes, the hotel is right next to a highway but I (and my sister and her boyfriend that came along) didnt mind the noise. We slept like babies. We even checked out the area, which is not much to it but they have a good Ecuadorian restaurant a block west. I would even walk to the gas station a couple blocks away to get some beer and snacks and felt fine. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to save a little money and still be close to the city.

Do not be fooled by the online price, I reserved the hotel three weeks prior to checking in and upon checking in the clerk told me that I didn't pay the full amount. A week prior to check in I had called numerous times to make sure everything was OK and all set, they said everything is fine and it's exactly the opposite upon arrival. I had to take time to print out the proof they requested on my vacation, the clerk were ver unknowledgeable with what they're doing behind the desk.
The photos on the site were misleading, the lobby is extremely small, I reserved a one bed, they gave me a two bed. The initial price was $640 dollars including tax, and I ended up playing close to $900 dollars for three nights in the end. The distance to the 7 train was nowhere close, it's about a 15 minute walk, it's ridiculous. However, the room was clean and comfortable and that's about all that's good to say about this place.

The bathroom was not as clean as I would have expected; there was some mildew in the tub. The food at the restaurant was not very high quality. It came out cold as well.

The location was small, it was not close to anything of real importance. However, it was moderately priced, had a great continental breakfast, and was clean. It is just a few blocks from the subway line which you can easily take into Manhattan.
