Holiday Inn Express Prescott Hotel - Page 1

I have stayed at this hotel before, very nice and clean. We had a family graduation party in Prescott, and I used this hotel and two others. The rooms are clean and the staff go out of their way to help you out. It has one of the best breakfasts for its quests- a big variety. My quests were very impressed, Thank you.

The room rates were ridiculous for a weekend, $160+ a night for a basic room! Being the hotel was almost sold-out, the owner was on scene, he was very rude and only wanted to price gouge customers. The owner, who was behind the front desk, did not have a name tag, and was barking orders to the staff to raise the rates as they were down to the last few rooms. This is highly unprofessional.

First of all, this "owner" should not be in the front desk area yelling at his staff to raise rates, when he could clearly be heard in the lobby by customers. Secondly, it shows that the owner is only interested in the money and not customer appreciation or service.

I would NEVER stay there again. Too expensive, owner was rude, obnoxious, unprofessional and he could be heard telling the staff to raise the rates as they were down to their last rooms. Talk about price gouging!

I tried to buy a gift certificate for a family who serves at our church. The manager, said that I should shop elsewhere for this family of six. He said that each person over the age of 11 would be charged additionally for their stay even though the room I was inquiring about was a suite. According to the online booking, the room sleeps 6. According to the manager, the room sleeps 3 to 4 and I should look for a cabin in the ponderosa pines where this large family can be outdoors and get fresh air! Apparently, that is not a feasible thing to do from the Holiday Inn. When I requested to talk to the owner, I was told that there was no contact information for him at all. According to him, he has the final say at this hotel. There is a brand new hotel going in directly across the highway from this location. Perhaps when it is finished they will welcome families. The stay would have been excellent except we found a poisonous millipede in our bed. Most of the hotel staff was great with this, however, the supervisor was very rude and did not even apologize.
