Super friendly staff, safe, CLEAN, good variety of complimentary breakfast offerings (and I'm a picky eater). Comfy bedding. Variety of pillow firmness for heightened comfort. Rooms have furnishings and colors that are easy on the eyes. Love the frig and microwave. Perfect hotel for those who don't have the funds for a luxury hotel. Very comfortable and quiet!! I stayed at a pricier hotel on Ocean in Santa Monica that was dirty, had ugly room decor, had no closet, had terrible parking, had too-short sheets, wasn't nearly as comfortable, and HAD BUGS! This is your best hotel for the price in the area! Super close to Santa Monica, which is always my destination when I stay here.

This is an older hotel located just a few blocks from Venice Beach and the Marina. It is also located within 10 miles of Culver City, Santa Monica Pier and the Getty Museum with LAX around 5 miles away. The rooms are quite spacious and clean with the usual amenities. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave plus a complimentary basket filled with mints, snack bars, chips, water, and a little rubber ducky. The staff is quite pleasant. This isn't a fancy hotel but it filled our purpose which was to be near the airport and within reach of several sights we wanted to see.

This would be a 10, if only the hotel offered the same morning breakfast as other Holiday Inn expresses. But then, you have some amazing places to eat just walking distance from the hotel. 10 minutes down the road, on the beach, is a great restaurant, The Terrace! Unbelieveable food! Then after you eat, walk a couple of steps to the pier and watch the surfers.

The rooms are very clean, and comfortable. New linens make for very comfortable beds. The staff was one of the nicest we have encountered in our travels.

If you are traveling by yourself, or without children...ask for a room farthest from the pool area. Of course, if it gets noisy, the staff is very prompt at dealing with the situation. The pool is more of a lap or wading pool. But it does have a nice spa. I am not a big swimmer, so it did not bother me.

For the area, the price is reasonable. My husband and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

It was pretty innocuous. I didn't spend much time there but it was adequate.
