Loved the location and general manager, John. He helped us choose our 2 day itinerary and supplied us with teddy bears and chocolate dipped pretzels. Most of the guests seemed to know him and were very comfortable there. Our room was clean and co
Our stay was on Columbus Weekend of 2008. Inn was full of busy shoppers. Our room was bright and clean. Easily access to vehicle for luggage. Morning breakfast was very good. We would and plan to stay again in the near future. Thank you Holiday Inn

I would never stay here again even if it was free. We had to try 3 rooms before we got one that was halfway clean. The first one did not look like they had cleaned it. The refrigerator had leftovers in it and mold and mildew. The bathroom was dirty and still had hair in the tub. The entire room smelled like mildew which set off my allergies. Although the desk folks were accommodating to switch rooms, it took two more rooms and at the entire other end of hotel to get away from the smell. The beds did not feel fresh either. And the lobby stunk just like the rooms did. They had a breakfast, but we did not want to eat it because of the awful smell there as well. Stay away from this one.

I used to come to this hotel years ago because I knew the staff. They were a friendly bunch & it felt like family. What happened? I return years later and I am so sorry I never got to say goodbye to the original staff when Fishers owned the hotel.
The rooms were more elegant but not homey. The staff was cold and unfriendly. The housekeepers looked unhappy like they were fulfilling a prison term. I overheard one reveal to the other how many rooms she had. I almost wet my pants when I heard she had 19 rooms to clean. How can one housekeeper do a very good job cleaning that many rooms per day?
I also noticed that one of the people who work there apparently lives in the hotel as well and my room was situated near his. I could not believe the stench that came from that room. It smelled like someone had just pumped a septic tank coupled with the smell of black cherries.
There was a tall guy at the front desk who clearly couldnt have given a cent less for me when I complained about the broken showerhead.
I miss the old hotel and the staff. I will never be returning to this mausoleum of callousness and rudeness ever again in my entire life.
