My family and I booked a weekend stay to visit the Omaha zoo and planned to take our small children there. I had an encounter with a night clerk at the hotel that was bizarre and left me quite unsettled. I didn't feel safe staying the second night so we checked out of the hotel on our way to the zoo. None of the morning front desk clerks offered any help, other than telling us we were welcome to go to another hotel, but without a refund. There was no manager on site and we were told we would have to wait until Monday morning to speak with him. Eventually I spoke to the GM of the hotel who offered a solution, but did not follow through in his promise to terminate the employee. I would highly recommend choosing another hotel, as I know this clerk still works there as of 07/28/07.

The location was difficult to find at first. They had great continental breakfast in the morning. The staff was very professional and friendly. I picked this for being close to Eppley airport.

It was in an easy to find location, the reservations staff gave great directions. It was convenient because an event we attended was held in the conference room there. However that particular conference room was a little difficult to locate. The room service prices were outrageous, and I felt the room price was a little high also, as the room was very basic and the view was of the rooftop of the hotel. The restaurant had very little selection, and the prices were high, so at lunchtime we had to leave the premises which was a little inconvenient. Overall the service was good and the stay was satisfactory.
I am not likely
to return to the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Omaha-Southwest.
I would not recommend it to friends.
