Was worried about the different hotels in town not being up-to-par after Hurricane Rita passed through. Decided to take a chance on this one and was totally delighted. Extremely clean every where we looked. Check in and out was a breeze. Bed was very comfortable. Pillows weren't quite large enough, but were marked on the pillow case, firm or soft. Breakfast was good, but be sure to get there before 9:30 (cut off time) as they pick up all the food on time, even if there are people waiting to serve themselves. That was the only problem we saw, everything else was GREAT! Price was excellent for this hotel!

How is it that a hotel determines who they let in and who they won't based upon a call-in review? Before deciding on this location I called several unbiased reviewers and asked their opinion of the place. Based upon the feedback I attempted to negotiate a deal based on the negative reviews I received. The managers decided they would not lease a room to me because of what I discovered about the culture of this hotel.

The managers at this Holiday Inn Express property are completely unethical, unprofessional, and down right nasty. The place is run like a used car lot. Many "tricks of the trade" are attempted with all customers. They routinely over promise and under deliver.

The staff addressed us by name and made us feel at home. Also, the online reservations had erred on our room reservation and the desk staff person corrected it with no difficulty.
