We stayed here to visit Carlsbad Caverns before heading on the the Grand Canyon. (fyi, the caverns are about at 30 drive from the town of Carlsbad...that was news to us.)
The hotel has the entrance of what could be a very pricey hotel and it smelled very good. The room was amazing. The bathroom was like no other hotel bathroom I've been in. It was top-notch. Including tax, we paid $112, but it was worth more. The beds were so soft and comfy; very nice linens. It made for a good night's sleep for 4 weary travelers. The only thing I can say negative was that there were a couple of hairs in the bathroom, but it wasn't dirty at all. I know hair is hard to get totally cleaned up. I bring my own Lysol wipes because I just never know what I'll find. This place however, was very clean.
Breakfast was great!!! They had fruit, cheese omlets, muffins, yogurt, boiled eggs, and best of all, biscuits and sausage gravey. Yummy!!!
