We will never go back! – Posted Jul 16, 2008

Horrible

The desk clerks lied, lied, lied. Charged us $126/car for two cars for their "free" park & ride program. The money doesn't bother me. Their shuttle service that is supposed to run every half hour left my family, including my...

My boyfriend and I were visiting Chicago for the first time. When we planned the trip, we wanted to save as much money as possible, so we booked a room in a hotel called the Baymont Inn, a few miles outside of O'Hare (the main airport in...

It's worth finding something else – Posted Sep 26, 2007

Mediocre
30 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business

The parking arrangement is awkward, even if something similar is standard in the area. Exiting the parking areas requires room-key usage on the toll machines, which frequently fail to recognize the room-key or credit cards. A similar problem exists with the elevators: a room-key is required to access any floor other than the lobby, and each key will only work on the floor it is for. Meeting up with business associates requires meeting in the lobby instead of on the appropriate floor(s).

The wireless internet access is 802.11-B based. This means it's limited to 11Mbs: while it qualifies as "high speed internet," the latency on the line frequently topped 1300+ ms, making real-time conferencing painful, as well as causing frequent lags in usage. Poor design to serve modern travelers.

Considering how I could stay at any number of other hotels for a similar price, all of which would not have these issues, I won't stay at a Holiday Inn Express again.
