Holiday Inn Express Fisherman's Wharf Hotel

Came for San Francisco Marathon. $250/night, $35/day sheltered, cramped parking. 17% city tax. Clean new room, quiet a/c, noise through window. Restaurant breakfast buffet $19. No gratis contenental breakfast. Friendly staff. One block from cable car, light rail, buses, Fisherman's Warf, Cannery.

The room was a bit run down and we were disappointed that the rooms could not join, as it was the one night a year that our family could be together. The rooms at the Hyatt and Hilton across the street were much nicer.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The front desk clerks were extremely friendly and handled the high traffic very well. The breakfast was a nice bonus, with welcome fresh fruit.

They took too long to answer the hotel phones, even after I had tried repeatedly to order room service. The toilet overflowed and when I reported this problem it took at least two hours for someone to come to the room to fix the problem. There were not enough towels.

This hotel made me feel welcome: Everyone was very polite and friendly.

It had thin walls. You can hear noisy guests in the next room.
