Holiday Inn Express Charleston Civic Center Hotel - Page 2

The room was not clean, nor cleaned properly. The bathtub was not clean on our arrival. There was some substance on the bathroom countertop. We stayed two nights. The housekeeping staff did make the beds but they did not clean the coffee maker.

It was very clean. However, I experienced a lot of problems with my room key. It did not work twice, inexplicably. Also, the swipe-entry lock on the door was malfunctioning.

It was fine. It was convenient to Civic Center. The window in my room was broken and they arrived promptly and fixed it efficiently.

This was a nice hotel. It's close to the civic center.

They are always friendly and attentive to our needs.

This hotel made me feel respected: They were courteous, helpful with directions and information.

I enjoyed the downtown environment of the hotel.

The hotel's service and my stay were fine.

It would be nice if they had rooms with adjustable beds available for those with disabilities and/or other problems stemming from sleeping on flat beds.

Check-in was very fast and their breakfast buffet was excellent. It isn't the best Holiday Inn Express we've stayed in. There was hair in the shower/tub drain and the furnishings were a bit dated. Also, the hotel itself seemed very noisy, albeit it was busy. We expected better from this national chain, and we were disappointed.

If I ever need anything they go out of their way to help!

This hotel made me feel relaxed: I would never stay anywhere else! It's my home away from home.

It was a very nice hotel, the only problem had with it was there were not enough parking spaces.

This hotel made me feel practical: All the comforts of home, even so far as an iron and ironing board which we really needed.

Just not what I expected for a convention center Holiday Inn. Elevators were noticeably falling apart on the inside. Rooms were advertised as newly remodeled and looked to be 15 years old.
