Okay
Staff was awesome, and location was great. The towels in the rooms were stained pretty bad. I've stayed there before, and would go back. That is the only negative I've had in 2 different stays. The whirlpool is like bathtub size for a hotel of that...

Mediocre
The first thing that greeted us was vomit by the back door (at 4:30pm so it must have been there all day). When we got to our room we discovered old take out food under the counter (complete with flies). Later we found used bobby pins and a frito in ...

I loved the hotel, the room and the service. Everyone was over friendly and supportive. We had a problem with the hotel computer for guests and they had a guy come and fix it just for us. But every morning the noise from snow removal equipment was not welcoming. Overall, I loved the place.
Everyone at front desk was totally helpful like you would have expected. The room service was friendly and efficient.
I am very likely
to return to the Holiday Inn Dubuque/Galena.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
35 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
The hotel is simply a hotel, nothing fancy, nothing special. During our stay the electronic key cards failed repeatedly requiring us to go to the front desk and have them re-programmed. The desk staff gladly did this, but never asked for proof of identification.
I am very likely
to return to the Holiday Inn Dubuque/Galena.
I might recommend it to friends.

An employee drove me to the convention center so I wouldn't be late for a breakfast meeting. They have very friendly people. The pool was nice and adequate.
My questions were answered and not ignored. My needs, from a bandage to how to get places were considered important.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Holiday Inn Dubuque/Galena.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Okay
For the cost I expected a little better. Non smoking was filled and had to have a smoking room, which smelled. Staff were clueless on day-to-day operations. Steak at Porters was cold, not even cooked. Great Location though downtown.
