But I have stayed there numerous times over the past thirty years and it beats staying in a condo-motel or hotel all the time. Tried to stay there this past trip but could not get a room. Will always try there first.

We have been going to Destin for five years in a row - and to this hotel but I must say that this past summer was a horrible (hotel) experience. They took away the "free" coffee; charge more for breakfast and give less and let kids run up and down the halls literally screaming at all hours of the night so you can't even sleep at night. The hotel is not as clean and nice as it used to be - overpriced for what you get.
