Though I am a college student myself, I was trying to avoid the nasty college-student aimed hotels in Panama City Beach, and opted for Destin instead. Everyone in my group was SO glad that we did! The Holiday Inn was kept very clean, and it had many ammenities that I was not expecting. The free popcorn, ice cream, and DVD rentals were definitely perks! I was sad when I first checked in to find that breakfast there is not complimentary, however, I never woke up early enough for breakfast anyway...
The hotel is ON the beach, and even though we didn't get a "gulf view" room, we could still see, hear, and smell the ocean from our balcony!
The pools are kept clean, and there is a 24 hour security guard on duty that keeps the drunk people from being obnoxious, but still lets everyone have fun. All-in-all, a perfect hotel for those trying to find a nice place to stay for a good price.
