The staff is very nice; however, the room was not very clean. There were stains on the chair, carpet, and bedding along with spots on the walls. I actually slept on top of the covers! They have potential, but need to address cleanliness above and beyond average housekeeping.

I had gotten a room for one night after work and wasn't looking for any special ammenities--I just needed a place to sleep comfortably. With that said, I did not fully explore the potential of this hotel.
PROS:
* The rooms are huge! Upon entrance to the room, I couldn't help but to notice the large amount of space that was available. The window basically took up about 70% of the outside wall with some of the longest, widest curtains to date. You get the idea--it was a big room!
* The room was sanitary with fresh linen.
* The check-in process was extremely quick (probably because I had a reservation, but it was an in-and-out routine with about a minute or two spent at the front desk).
* The receptionist was very friendly.
* The internet, though not wireless in my room, operated at decent speeds. It was protected and firewalled for customers only.
CONS:
* The furniture seemed a little old ranging from the desk and chair to the television set. Well, at least I didn't see a Nintendo 64 controller connected to the TV!
* The continental breakfast wasn't too good. The hotel has a restaurant inside of it and I guess that they serve a poor continental breakfast just to force people to buy a decent breakfast. I didn't have time for the full dining experience with a four to five hour drive to make before noon so I wound up declining the offer.
Otherwise, the hotel served its purpose by providing a temporary place to get a good nights sleep. Again, I must emphasize that I was not there to have a good time therefore I did not explore the other ammenties such as the pool.

Okay
The best thing was its location, it is right off I-75. Easy 10 minute drive to the airport. Staff was courteous and helpful. Clean room, nothing particularly special though. The aircondition kept breaking down during the night. The refrigerator (...

The location was good, but a little hard to get to. They had great atmosphere and staff. There were a nice lounge and plenty of meeting rooms. I liked the nice size pool and the recreation area. They had plenty of rooms designed for handicapped access.
Although our reservations were made by phone that day and we had been on the road all day we were treated as if we were in evening clothes. There were several functions going on but we were not lost in the shuffle. The front desk clerk was especially helpful and friendly.
I am very likely
to return to the Holiday Inn Dayton-North.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
