Do not purchase a timeshare here. 5 years or more ago it was excellent, but the service is declining fast. The lower level management tells the upper level management what they want to hear and everyone goes on perfectly with that.
If there is a huge complaint then an email is sent out to fix the complaint.
This resort has outgrown its guests and the service has not moved with the pace. I have posted my complaints in detail on my website orangelakeresortcomplaints.com

Mediocre
All Review Photos Orange Lake Golf and Country Club is an enormous resort with several different "village" areas. You could easily spend a week just enjoying the resort, as there is so much to do. A free shuttle transports guests around the complex....

I have been going to Orlando since 1995. I have always stayed in hotels. This time we stayed at a resort and I can't believe the difference. I liked it so much that I bought a timeshare. I have been at several time shares and Genry made the best sales pitch of any salesman I've dealt with. No pressure at all just facts and the resort speaks for itself. I only wish with 4 girls I did this earlier in my life and not wasted so much money on 15x10 hotel rooms.

Excellent
Sliding into cool, blue pools. . . making waves on a sparkling lake. . .sinking a putt at sunset. . . experiencing the fun and fantasy of Orlando theme parks. . . If you can dream it, you can do it all right here. At Orange Lake Orlando.

Well, for those who read reviews in making their decision on travel and accommodation, and have spent hours humming over where to go based on what reviews have said, let me take the opportunity to simply say that Orange Lake and their staff have left me speechless. I have been going for a few years now and this year the service, attention and sincerity made this vacation one of the best for myself and my family. It did not matter what I needed, they took care of everything for me. They truly made me feel like my vacation with my family was the most important issue to deal with and for that I will truly be grateful. And not just my family. My sister and her family were there during the same two weeks and honestly, I read reviews as well and I am confident that I wasn't the exception to the rule.
I stayed in the North Village. I stayed by my sister. I received the utmost attention.

Just back from this resort and after reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried that we might have made a mistake.
But all I can say is that it was excellent, there is some work at the reception area but nothing to worry about, we stayed in one of the villa`s in the west village, very tidy and spacious, my only complaint was about maid service that you get only once in the two weeks we were there. Other than that anything else we asked for we got, the staff are all very pleasant and helpful.
We went to the timeshare meeting on our second day thru choice, the stories about getting doughnuts and buns for breakfast are all true, dont believe them when they say "hope you are hungry cause you get a big breakfast" you dont..Unless you like buns.
We listened to their sales pitch for about an hour and a half then declined, we got $100 to spend in the resort and saved $500 on our theme park tickets so it`s worth going for a couple of hours.
The resort itself is very well kept, and very large they run a shuttle bus service around the place but you definitely need a car to get about. A lot of building going on at the north village around River Island but doesnt spoil your time there.
Would go back again even to the west village as it was quiet and peaceful, our patio area was right beside the reserve golf course. It wasnt to busy just nice at this time of year.

Three of us traveled from Canada, Aruba and PA to golf at OLCC.
One of us had a time share there. We hadn't been there since 2000 or so, and there were enormous changes to the facilities - River Island, upgraded Reserve and Cranes Bend Courses.
The Legends (Arnold Palmer) Course was fantastic. We played it six days in a row, and hit from all the longer tees. Played from the tips four days, and had a supper time. Greens were very fast, and hard to hit longer putts. Tee boxes were a little dry, and that was the worst part of it (besides the love bugs that were there more than we liked). We also played the reserve course, another very beautiful course since they repaired the drainage problems from years ago. I was told they raised the elevation 3-4 feet. It really made a significant difference in the course, and there was no standing water issues or quagmires like there were in years past. The Cranes Bend (exec course) is manicured to perfection. Still a challenge for the short game, this course was also renovated with new fairways, greens etc.
Overall, the resort was fabulous. Played 8 times - 6 Legends, 2 Reserve, 1 Cranes Bend. Price for unlimited golf was $340. Still a very good deal!
