new, clean, modern, convenient. A nearby hotel claims to be the best hotel in Carbondale. Maybe that was true before this one was built, but clearly this one leaves the others in the dust. New, clean, modern decor, and many conveniences. Cheerful, very helpful staff (as good as the concierge in an upscale city hotel). It was very nice having a small frg and microwave in the room. My only complaint was the cheap showerhead and the weak water pressure.

to return to the Holiday Inn Carbondale-Conference Center.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
