Holiday Inn Capitol Traveler Review

Overpriced

I reserved the room for a business trip through my company. I was charged 299.00 per night!! I needed this hotel, since it was close to the meetings. My colleague was in the same room for only 169 per night. The hotel was able to reduce the rate 50% the first night, but said they could not provide any further discounts. Never said why. Instead they upgraded me to a Suite. I did not need or want a suite. I am here for only 2 additional days and alone. The suite was next to the RR tracks that ran loud trains every 20 minutes til 3am. The rooms were nice, but not worth 299.00. I reccommend only if you get a good rate that changes weekly. The internet connection is slower than dial up. They said they knew and was lookng into it. Doesn't help me, however.
