The front desk staff here is just about the worst i've encountered lately. Attitudinal, argumentative and unhelpful. Utterly abysmal. Wrote to the gm twice: so far no response at all. This is a disgrace for $150+/night.

I am not likely to return to the Holiday Inn Capitol.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The staff in the restaurant, as well, were pleasant and accomodating.

This hotel made me feel respected: Kind, courteous desk staff addressed me wwith the honorific, 'mr. ' and were sincere! staff went out of their way to accomodate my request for additional coffee for the room's coffee maker. Damned decent people.

Some renovation was taking place during my stay, but they kept control of it very well. There was no extra noise or dirt.

This hotel made me feel respected: The front desk treated me as a valued costomer. They helped me with directions and with shipping arrangements for my extra materials.
