Holiday Inn Binghamton Hotel - Page 1

Nice hotel but I'm afraid downtown Binghamton at night is not the place to hang around!!!

The hotel air conditioning system could use some work done on it. It was not very cool in the meeting rooms or in the hotel rooms.

The hotel stay was very nice, with only one exception. On my last night, the fire alarm malfunctioned and we were all evacuated to the parking lot as a precaution. It was raining and most of the guests, including myself, were in our pajamas. Despite the inconvenience, the staff handled the disruption well. Although, I wish there would have been some sort of compensation for our inconvenience.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The staff was very friendly and smiling. Even staff passing you in the corridors would make eye contact and say hello.

There was a window broken, it would not close properly. The fire alarm went off during the night. There are no strobe lights or blast fire alarms in the guest room. I was not called or notified in any way of a building evacuation. Many of us were not notified or checked on by hotel staff or the fire department who was making floor by floor searches for a fire. There was no hot water the morning after the fire alarm.

The stay was great, but when we turned on the ventilation, there was an unpleasant smell coming out of the vent.
