Hokele Suites

This was my first trip to Hawaii, and I saved myself about $400 by staying a little farther away from the beach. And when I say a little farther, I mean basically a few more minutes walking. This hotel was amazingly quaint, and clean. Also the kitchenette was fabulous. I would definitely stay in this hotel again, and look forward to doing so.

We booked this hotel quickly because it was inexpensive and we had to attend a funeral. They charged us daily to park the rental car. The parking is under the hotel, it was cramped and there's only one way in and out. You have to back out of the parking spot, out of the hotel, and onto the street.

There are ABC stores to pick up toothpaste, etc. and to eat there are various places you can get to on foot. The room needed airing out, but after opening the sliding glass door, it still didn't smell great. The view, you look down on the alley or the hotel next door. It was about 4 blocks from the beach. The bed was soft. The carpets vacuumed, but old. There were cracks in the shower tile. We got what we paid for.

It was a nice hotel and we got a really good discount. The hotel was really old and it could really use some remodeling, but I guess for the price we paid you should expect that. The location was not bad, but it really was a hike to the beach. And the people who worked there knew nothing about touristy things to do. It is great value, just come prepared about what to do and definitely pick up local tourist brochures.

This hotel's location was fine, but the staff was extremely rude during check in. They were unwilling to help with a reservation problem that started with the hotel.

The location was decent. It was centrally located and not that far from the beach. It was good for the price and amount of people we had. We enjoyed it.
