This is a wonderful old Hotel located in downtown Clayton, nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Our Inn is within walking distance of many unique shops, a short drive to White Water Rafting, Waterfalls, hiking trails, snow skiing, fishing, three state parks, Tallulah Gorge and much more. Excellent
Everyone should try it again. All of their rooms are redecorated and the staff is customer oriented. They have changed everything from food, service, staff and management. I would highly recommend the Inn.
We were taking a Whitewater trip the next morning at 7 am and stayed here the night before. YES IT IS OLD~but that the allure of the place! Bed was comfy and we had no problems with the room or AC. The lady at the front desk even had us breakfast...

Horrible
We stayed at this inn in 2004. Our room had sticky dirty carpet. The whirlpool had a faulty valve that dislodged in the water (while I was in it) along with black floaties. The decor in the room looked like something from an S & M film. ...
I recently stayed at the Inn and I would reccomend it for someone passing through. It is very clean hotel for its age, service was very good. The dining was satisfactory. The only problem I saw was that the hallways where not cool it was very hot...
