23 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business

I loved the newly remodeled building and all of the artwork. I was not impressed with the broken air conditioner and the three trips it took the staff to fix it, or the many times our rooms were moved throughout the duration of our stay. Room service was often slow, though the food was very good.

I am very likely to return to the Hilton Washington.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel is in a great location and it has an excellent staff. I had an enjoyable visit overall.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The efficient staff was ready to meet my every need.

I am very likely to return to the Hilton Washington.

Our room, which was handicap accessible, had no shower chair and was very cramped making wheelchair accessibility difficult. One of the lamps had a bulb burned out. The clock radio and alarm was not functioning properly either. The restaurant had great food but I felt it was expensive. The staff was friendly, polite and eager to assist with any issue. There was only one elevator accessing the lower level making a wait commonplace for those who cannot take the escalator.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hilton Washington.
I might recommend it to friends.

I was very unhappy. We could not cool the room down, even though the thermostat was set at sixty-five degrees. When the engineer came up, he told us that there was probably nothing that could be done, that the equipment was old, and everyone was complaining, and blaming it on him, but that the system was just old. He also told us that he would fix it so that the air conditioner would not automatically shut off after a while and he would try to get us a fan, which he did. Nevertheless, we were miserably hot, and I had trouble getting dressed and drying my hair after showering, due to sweating. This was not acceptable for a two hundred and fifty dollar a night room in a hotel with the Hilton name. If the hotel knows that the system was antiquated, then they should overhaul it, because I think that to do otherwise was booking a room under false pretenses. Many other people at this meeting were complaining about the temperature of their rooms, so it was not just my husband and I. We were in a corner room with windows on two sides, the temperature outside was in the nineties and muggy, and our room was unbearable. Other than the air conditioner or the lack of it we had no complaints.

I am not likely to return to the Hilton Washington.
I would not recommend it to friends.

32 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We wanted to stay at a nice hotel even though we were traveling on a budget and this is perhaps the most overpriced restaurants I've ever seen in a hotel! Also, the lobby restaurant advertised breakfast until 11:30 am on Sunday, but due to a special group, the buffet was closed at 11am. Some sort of notification would have been nice, as it is very difficult to find an affordable breakfast in the area of the hotel on the weekends. We thought we could make the $16/person buffet worthwhile, but instead paid a total of $32 for two eggs, awful, uncooked potatoes, and coffee. The coffee was $3.50 per person! You don't pay that much at Starbucks. And had we known the buffet wasn't available, we could have left earlier to get something nearby, but we couldn't and had to come back to the hotel.

However, the beds are heavenly. The rooms were nice, though the bathrooms were not as nice as I expected, but they were very clean. My bathroom at home is nicer and I live in an even older building.

Overall, I was very happy. The hotel was worth the rate, and even though the amenities are overpriced to the point bordering price-gouging.

Did I mention the bed was heavenly? It was like a cloud and that alone made it all worthwhile.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hilton Washington.
I might recommend it to friends.

The room was ridiculously small. The amenities were outdated, and the furniture uncomfortable. I felt as though I was staying in a budget-grade hotel. The conference rooms were the wrong size for the situation; all of them (5-6).
