We wanted to stay at a nice hotel even though we were traveling on a budget and this is perhaps the most overpriced restaurants I've ever seen in a hotel! Also, the lobby restaurant advertised breakfast until 11:30 am on Sunday, but due to a special group, the buffet was closed at 11am. Some sort of notification would have been nice, as it is very difficult to find an affordable breakfast in the area of the hotel on the weekends. We thought we could make the $16/person buffet worthwhile, but instead paid a total of $32 for two eggs, awful, uncooked potatoes, and coffee. The coffee was $3.50 per person! You don't pay that much at Starbucks. And had we known the buffet wasn't available, we could have left earlier to get something nearby, but we couldn't and had to come back to the hotel.
However, the beds are heavenly. The rooms were nice, though the bathrooms were not as nice as I expected, but they were very clean. My bathroom at home is nicer and I live in an even older building.
Overall, I was very happy. The hotel was worth the rate, and even though the amenities are overpriced to the point bordering price-gouging.
Did I mention the bed was heavenly? It was like a cloud and that alone made it all worthwhile.
